Lets Build Our New
Masjid Together
“Great communities aren’t found, they’re built”
Our masjid is more than a building. It’s a home for prayer, learning, and community. We are intentionally designing over 20,000 square feet of space to accommodate our growing community and host our purposeful programming, and we’re asking for your support. Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen the heart of our community and ensures future generations have a place to grow in faith.
Every donation counts. We are developing a space where we will have:
1500+
400+
Youth Halaqa attendees
Ramadan youth program attendees
Youth Islamic Studies students
Weekly prayer attendees
200+
300+
FUNDING STATUS
It’s all about sincere intentions, duas and your support. Here’s where your donations are going…
BEYOND THE GATES
PROJECT UPDATES
ABOUT THE PROJECT
On February 28th, 2025, we received the keys to our future home—a large property with endless potential. The West side is renovated and functioning as office space, but the East side remains untouched. That empty half is where our future Musallah will be.
Beyond the Gates is our project to build a masjid that will carry our community for decades to come. This is the moment to turn empty space into a home of worship, learning, and connection.
Your donation is what transforms walls into a sanctuary. Will you help build it?
FAQ
-
Donations marked for the Gateway Masjid Construction will go directly towards design, labor, and materials necessary to build out the musallah space, upgraded wudu friendly bathrooms, and other elements to allow our community to transition to using the building as a masjid.
-
Not exactly, this construction we are hoping to complete, with Allah’s permission, is just the beginning. The County is actively pursuing a historic redevelopment of the Gateway area. This could be an incredible opportunity for the MFC community to envision our Dream Masjid together. We don’t want to lock in that grand plan just yet. We are waiting to hear more on what will change in the area, so the master plan we create can be responsive. You’re part of this journey with us!
-
Yes! Muslim Family Center, is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization (TAX ID # 46-5035493). All donations towards this construction campaign are tax deductible.
-
At this time, MFC’s Waterloo Masjid will continue to operate as a satellite facility for daily prayers and other small group meetings and events.
-
Once constructed we’re hoping Daily Salah, Jummah, Ramadan, Quran and Islamic studies and youth programs will commence. Imagine the reward of everyone who prayers there, when you donate.
-
Not yet, we must complete construction of the prayer area to meet strict County compliance regulations first. We’re hoping to be in space by Ramadan 2026, however time is critical and funds are needed - your generous support and duas for this Campaign will help us get there inshAllah!
