Community Care
Launched in 2021, MFC Hometown Heroes is our annual Community Member Recognition program! We give YOU a platform to recognize and appreciate the people in your lives who matter - your spouse, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, neighbors. Anyone can participate and multiple nominations are welcome (and encouraged!). The nominations process is quick! The Annual Theme is based on one of MFC’s Values. To learn more and nominate your Hero click here.
The aim of this effort is to mobilize our community to raise funds to provide an appreciation lunch for our local heroes at the Howard County General Hospital. The raised funds will be used to purchase meals from local Muslim-owned restaurants in Howard County. We pray this effort will show the strength of our community coming together in goodness!
Apply for Zakah or make a tax-deductible zakah contribution to alleviate a local community member’s needs. There are no overhead costs and 100% of MFC Zakat funds reach the hands of the poor and needy. Zakat funds are not used to cover MFC Operations.
The MFC Care Team is proud to present a series of offerings to help us cope with the new COVID reality including a Resource Warmline, Imam and Pastoral Care Services, One-on-One Peer Support Office Hours and bi-weekly Support Groups with Psychotherapist Najwa Awad.
