Registration to Pray Fajr & Isha in MFC Musallah

In accordance with Maryland’s Roadmap to Recovery-Faith Based Recommendations, MFC management is implementing the following rules to reopen the Musallah for Fajr and Isha congregational prayers. Safety officers will strictly enforce rules and turn away anyone who does not comply.

-Individuals upon whom congregational prayer is not obligatory should stay at home (e.g. children, disabled, etc.), and individuals at high-risk of death should they get infected with COVID-19 (e.g. individuals aged >65, those with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, cancer and immuno-compromised state), 

-Individuals who are sick (have fever, cough, runny nose, diarrhea, etc.) must not attend congregational prayers. 

-All persons must take their temperature at home prior to attending congregational prayers.  Temperature checks may be performed onsite.

-Congregational prayers will be limited to Fajr and Isha prayers only. All persons must register for Fajr and Isha prayers. Once you register, you may attend inshaAllah.

-Maximum of 25 people will be allowed for each congregational prayer inside the Musallah, this includes a Safety Officer and Imam.

-Congregants must provide their own prayer mats (if you can not afford a mat please contact MFC at info@muslimfamilycenter.org). Prayer mats must be brought to every prayer and removed from the Musallah after every prayer.

-Perform wudu prior to arriving at the Musuallah. Bathroom usage is not permitted in the Musallah.

-Remove shoes outside prior to entering the facility.

-Upon entering the facility hands must be cleaned with hand sanitizer

-Masks must be worn at all times on Musallah property

-Strict adherence to the 6ft social distance must be followed at all times

-Do not operate fans inside Musallah and do not adjust the thermostat. Avoid contact with surfaces for everyone’s protection.

-Anyone who does not adhere to these rules will be removed from the list of congregants allowed to attend congregational prayers during this stage of reopening of the Musallah.

-The door between the Sunroom and Musallah must remain open at all times and congregants should not touch this door. 

-Cameras are installed and video will be saved in case contact tracing is required. A smart lock is installed to restrict entry.

-No consumption of food or drink are allowed in the Musallah.

-The Musallah will be opened 5 minutes prior to the prayer, and all Sunnah prayers should be prayed at home. Musallah will be closed 5 minutes after completion of the fard prayer. The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, “See to it that your prayers are in your houses, for verily the best of a man’s prayers is in his house, except for the prescribed prayer.” [al-Bukhari and Muslim]

-The Musallah doors may be locked at iqaama and no additional congregants will be permitted to enter the Musallah for the protection of all congregants.

-Only pray on marked spots using personal prayer rugs.

After registering, you may attend the congregational prayers.
