Converts & Co.
At MFC we aim to see every new and returning Muslim confidently living Islam as a complete way of life, rooted in faith, supported by community, and equipped to contribute meaningfully to the ummah.
What We Do
We aim to nurture a welcoming, supportive, and spiritually enriching space for new and returning Muslims, empowering them to embrace and embody Islam holistically through meaningful community connections, opportunities for personal growth, and impactful volunteer work. This initiative is guided by the Ansars or helpers who have clear roles and and defined responsibilities.

Our Team
Ansar Kellie Worrell, originally from the Bahamas, embraced Islam in December 2023. A mother of three and an avid snowboarder, she brings passion for community and adventure into her work supporting new Muslims. With a heart for guiding converts, Kellie is dedicated to helping others feel welcomed, supported, and grounded in their journey with Islam.
Ansar Beenish is from the windy city, Chicago and has been in the DMV for the past 14 years. Even though she is an accountant by trade, she’s a social butterfly at heart, wanting to create an environment where people feel seen, welcomed and connected. She finds joy in striking up a friendly conversation and helping people find common ground; whether it’s introducing someone to their next friend or simply offering a warm salaam. In her free time, she prioritizes her health and spiritual growth and enjoys traveling to places with Islamic history with her husband and two boys.
Ansar Nazish Mithalwala is an Atlanta native and has been in the DMV for the past 12 years. Though an attorney by training, she now focuses on teaching Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic studies in a local masajid. She graduated from the Islamic Seminary of America with an MA and AL Azhar University with a BA this past year and hopes to continue on the journey of learning.
