Traditional Islamic art is rooted in abstraction, from geometric patterns to beautiful calligraphy. In this class Nadia Janjua, artist and Tarbiyah Academy Arts Coordinator, will give an introduction to Abstract Islamic art, using Islamic geometry and Arabic calligraphy stencils.
Abstract techniques using tools such as paint rollers, palette knives, scrapers, and paint brushes will be demonstrated and explored.
